Healthy Relationships in Tāmaki

HEART Change Agents

Community Change Agents are aspiring change makers, they are passionate about preventing family violence in Tāmaki.  They are usually Tāmaki residents or people who work in the area. They play an active role in building healthy relationships in their organisations and other networks such as sports club, schools and playgroups.  They inspire others to grow loving, safe and supportive relationships.

Change Agents are committed to transforming and empowering themselves. They take an inner journey of self-healing and transformation as part of this commitment to change.  They are comfortable to speak about family violence and how it impacts them and their families, and about the changes they are making.  They are aware of services and support available for family violence and encourage people to ask for help.

Meet some of our wonderful Change Agents

Denzel Washington says, “Ease is a greater threat to progress, than hardship”. Meaning that people think they can progress by being comfortable, this is unrealistic – THERE’S NO WAY YOU CAN. You progress by being uncomfortable.
