Notes on each kaupapa

Find out more about each kaupapa below…

The Opening Ceremony will take place from 4pm-6pm on Sunday 28th September 2025. The working group will decide on the schedule of the Opening Ceremony but it will be a celebration of women and what’s to come over the week, plus some time to mix and mingle.

Kaupapa over the week

During the weekdays, Monday 29th Sept - Friday 3rd Oct, there will be three sessions per day (10am-11.30am / 12.30pm-2pm / 6.30pm-8pm). The week will be full of workshops, wānanga, healing, connection, kai and joy.

The kaupapa for these sessions has been decided by our working group and there is something for everyone!

To volunteer your time, aroha and skills, please complete our Volunteer Sign Up form.

Youth Kaupapa

We are excited to be collaborating with Connect1072 and Tāmaki Youth Council to provide a youth kaupapa each day! Check out the youth calendar which runs alongside our adult sessions…

Change Agent Chill Zone

We are organising a central hub over the week, where our Change Agents will hold space for anyone who would like to come and have meaningful conversations! This will be held in Glen Innes Library and Change Agents will be rostered on to stay for an hour or two at a time. There will be an activity to keep your hands busy and people will be welcomed to have kōrero with our “no judgement, no advice” koru group vibes…

We will “go live” on social media for a kōrero about an aspect of te whare tapa whā which is our theme for that day, similar to how we did during covid lockdowns - with a focus on wellbeing. Check out the playlist on Facebook and our blog post on how that went and all the wonderful Change Agents who made it happen.

We need Change Agents to put their hands up to hold this space over Mana Wāhine Week 2025 - to volunteer your time, aroha and skills, please complete our Change Agent Chill Zone Sign Up form.

It won’t all be serious conversations, we are so excited to be ending Mana Wāhine Week with a Celebration Ball! Where we can dress up and be fancy, we’ll have a photoboard from the week, share kai, we’ll have a photographer, a female DJ and even a catwalk!

Our ball will be 6pm - 10pm, on Friday 3rd October. Stay tuned as tickets will be available soon.

When we think that we have to do everything on our own,
it’s sort of an unhealthy relationship with ourselves.
