Advisory Group
The HEART Movement is a cross-agency collaboration. The Advisory Group was established to maintain the strategic direction HEART and to ensure its success. The key functions of the group are to:
Champion the HEART Movement
Support the strategic direction of HEART
Foster a learning culture and strong evidence to inform HEART
Act as critical friends to the HEART Movement and the Programme Lead
The HEART Movement Advisory Group is made up of:
CEO of Te Waipuna Puawai as the organisation which was the founding member of this community-led initiative, and manages the administration of the HEART Movement and the Programme Lead role.
Three to four member organisations who have signed a partnership agreement to support or deliver the interventions of the HEART Movement on the ground.
Three to four technical experts who can support the development of the Strategic Plan, its implementation and evaluation. This may include experts in community mobilisation, family violence, social marketing campaigns, alcohol and other drug harm minimisation, and other public health experts.
Two to three Change Agents who are local champions actively involved on the ground promoting and embedding HEART in the community. Change Agents will develop an agreement to elect representatives on to the Advisory Group.
