Tamaki Jobs & Skills Hub - Alice Taupau

Our featured Member Organisation for July 2021 is the Tamaki Job & Skills Hub in Glen Innes. For the past 7 years, Alice Taupau has been working in Tamaki, and she now serves as the manager of the Tamaki Jobs & Skills Hub.

Over the years, Alice and her team have attended various HEART Movement hui and in her own words "participated in the powerful korero HEART draws from providers and community champions of Tamaki."

What Alice likes the most about the HEART Movement is their genuine aroha for the people of Tamaki. Alice says, "The team are hardworking and go over and above to include all voices and connect people."

A fun fact about Alice is that while she was studying in New York, she met Lionel Ritchie and Taylor Swift.

A quick word of wisdom from Alice, "No matter how educated, talented, rich, or cool you are, how you treat people ultimately tells it all."
